My friend Johan Klingbergs nymph pattern even got known as the “Swedish” nymph around that area. I think it was around -92

We fished upstream “polish” style mymphs in the Dee around Bala and Llangollen in the early -90s.

Very nice report Gareth,got out in the snow myself recently and managed afew very nice grayling.They ignored my pink bug in preference to a small copper beaded hares ear.But this was also on the middle dropper.Look forward to the sbs for your pink bug.
