Blog Tag: All about Me!!!
Alistair Stewart over at Urban Fly Fishing on the Kelvin has passed me a ‘Blog Tag’, and not being one to turn down an invitation (although there are exceptions!), I’ll now be telling you all some amzingly interesting facts about me! Five to be precise. I’m really not that exciting, honest!
So:
1. I work in IT (an IT manager to be precise). I’m not one who believes in ‘stress’, but if I did, I believe I have it…IT and a normal life is somthing I’ve learnt don’t live in harmony!
This said, I do love IT, and have been called a ‘Geek’ on more than one occasion…..plus, with my job I get to shout at people for miss-use! Hah!
2. I hate football. As some of you may know, I rather like to frequent my local pubs. Whenever I’m there with friends (who are ALL into football) it is the subject of choice. So I sit there with my pint, usually thinking of something fishing related……
3. I used to be in band. Yes, for 6 years I was in a band playing mainly punk/metal, I thought we were quite good. Unfortunatley, I started a new job, got a new girlfriend, and time for the band got less and less.
Myself and a few friends have just put together a band for a bit of fun, as we all have the gear, etc…we rock! Haha
4. I love cooking! And have to say, I’m rather good…although I have one problem when cooking (this also affects my fly-tying!) which is being a perfectionist.
I’ll take ages to cook a meal (and tie a fly), but I believe I’m not bad at making both!
5. I love fishing in the wild. To be in the middle of nowhere, fishing for wild brownies is magic. This said, some stretches of the Taff give the feeling of isolation even though 100 yards away is a main road.
What I REALLY want to organise for 2007 is a wild fishing/camping trip. Maybe Scotland on some of the Lochs, or even Ireland. Me and a mate for a weekend fishing in the middle of nowhere! Sounds awesome to me!
So that’s it…five things about Gareth Lewis!
