Difficult Roads Often Lead to Beautiful Places
I once heard the phrase ‘difficult roads often lead to beautiful places’. Could be more right.
I participated in a rare event called a ‘four day weekend’ last weekend and, in between a fantastic amount of fly orders, I managed to get out onto the water a couple of times. Spring is well and truly here, but the mountain waters still aren’t quite as warmed-up as their lower cousins. Fish are moving, however, and I’ve a feeling (if this mild weather holds) that this is going to be one special trout season. My fingers are crossed.
It’s back to the fly orders for me, but enjoy a few images from the weekend.
Waters are just a tad low, but the fish are moving…
The trees are still a little bear, but the current milder temps will soon change things for the better…
And the view of the valley below is stunning…
Inhabitants are a little strange…
But their colourations are breathtaking…
Fishing finished, and back to the orders. This year’s pre-season orders have been phenomenal…
